Peer recognition (aka /highfive)

Gridium has an employee-directed peer recognition program that allows anyone in the company to send a public thank you to anyone else who has gone above and beyond. To send a thank you to someone, just type the following in Slack:

/highfive @adam $10 for being such a swell guy

Of course, you should replace @adam with the handle of the person you want to high five, $10 with whatever amount you want to send, and for being such a swell guy with a description of the great thing that person did.

As soon as you hit send, fireworks will go off in the Slack channel, a gift certificate will be immediately emailed to the recipient, and the universe will smile upon you.
